Steven Peterson, M.D., F.A.C.S., Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon, is a member of the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona and is the medical director of Cardiovascular Surgery at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Endoscopic Vein Harvesting | Prior to joining the team of cardiology specialists and specially trained staff at FMC, Dr. Peterson was a surgeon in the Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular department at the Deaconess Billings Clinic in Billings, Mont. There, he also served as chairman of the Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery department.
Education and Certification Dr. Peterson earned his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency program at State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Peterson is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
