Pediatric Observation Unit opens

Spotlights

After an extensive nationwide search which included the evaluation of numerous highly trained and qualified candidates, Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) has selected Nick Paslidis, M.D., Ph.D., M.H.C.M., to serve as its new Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Medical Affairs.

Cancer impacts many individuals within our communities, either as a patient, family member or caregiver. When someone is coping with a cancer diagnosis they can find support and encouragement from others who have encountered similar situations.

Verde Valley Medical Center’s Diabetes Education Program is reaching out to embrace the diabetic community and their loved ones by hosting local monthly diabetes support groups. These groups provide a supportive and sharing environment for all individuals, family members and friends affected by the disease.

With the completion of VVMC’s $39 million expansion project--a project which included a new, 29-bed medical surgical unit and a new, 20-bed telemetry unit—all of VVMC’s medical-surgical, telemetry and gynecology/obstetric nursing units now are private rooms.
