Fitness Pool Classes

These fitness pool exercise classes are geared towards those who want to get fit by means of a low-impact, 30 minute class. They are taught by Brandi Dufek who is a certifiied arthritis Aquatics instructor. After the class, participants are encouraged to continue to work out on their own in a pleasant, warm pool.

Class Times and Cost:

  • Mon/Wed/Fri  7 a.m.
  • $5 per class or $40 for ten classes

Additional Information about Aquatic Exercise:

  • Water buoyancy helps to protect recuperating knees, ankles and hips.
  • Great for overweight individuals looking for excercise, but unable to walk far enough out of the water to effectively burn calories.
  • Aquatic excercise reduces pain and increases flexibility.
  • Water supports and massages the body as you excercise.
  • All of the benefits of land excercise - without the sweat.
  • Reduced pressure, stress and risk of injury.
  • Often recommended following surgery to minimize postoperative swelling.
