Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., however, it also can be predictable and often is preventable. Risk factor screenings provide an opportunity to learn more about heart disease and your risk factors, as well as prevention and treatment strategies.
A Know Your Heart screening evaluates your risk for cardiovascular disease. The screening takes only 45 minutes, but the benefits last a lifetime.
HVCNA's screening program includes the following:
- Heart Rhythm Analysis
- Body Mass Index (from height and weight measurements)
- Resting Blood Pressure
- Fasting Cholesterol Test
(includes total, LDL and HDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and a total/HDL ratio)
- Blood glucose test to screen for diabetes risk
- Heart-Health Questionnaire
- Private consultation with a health educator trained in cardiac risk factor management. You will receive a booklet with your information recorded, individualized education materials and a walking map of the area.

Cost: For just $39 you'll receive the heart rhythm analysis, body mass index, resting blood pressure, personal heart health questionnaire and private consultation. Additionally, you'll receive a complimentary fasting cholesterol test and blood glucose test.
