The Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona offers a comprehensive line of cardiology services including diagnostic, interventional and traditional and minimally invasive surgical treatment options and a cardiac rehabilitation program.
With the expansion of the heart and vascular program and the employment of world-class physicians, Northern Arizona now has a regionalized approach to the delivery of cardiovascular services, including diagnostic and interventional catheterization for cardiac and vascular disease, and cardiothoracic (open heart) surgical procedures.
Cardiologists and surgeons are able to care for patients and perform procedures at Flagstaff Medical Center, Verde Valley Medical Center and Little Colorado Medical Center (Winslow), and clinic locations in Camp Verde and Sedona. The physicians are supported by a specialty-trained professional staff of critical care and cardiac cath lab registered nurses, nurse practitioners, cardiac radiologic technologists, echocardiography technicians, ECG/cardiology technicians, nuclear medicine technologists, respiratory and physical therapists, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, pharmacists, patient care technicians and social workers/case managers.

Cutting-edge Technology - da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems, state-of-the-art surgical suites, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Catheterization Labs
Diagnostic Procedures - stress testing, imaging and ultrasound
Interventional Procedures - cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, stents, pacemaker insertion and treatment for peripheral arterial disease
Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery - Heart surgery including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve repair and replacement, Maze procedure for atrial fibrillation, minimally invasive procedures and major thoracic and vascular surgical procedures
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit - This 11-bed unit is dedicated to caring for cardiac patients. The unit provides a high standard of care utilizing state-of-the-art technology; staff has special training to provide intensive cardiac care using advanced equipment. Once the patient's condition is less critical, he or she can be moved to the Step Down Unit, which provides the appropriate level of care for the cardiac surgery patient.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Program - Provides a wide range of rehabilitation services to cardiac, coronary artery, bypass, post-heart attack and pulmonary patients.
