Patient Valuables
We encourage you to leave all personal belongings and valuables at home when planning a stay at the hospital or off-campus clinics. However, in those instances when you would like to have something secured, the Security Department will secure your valuables in a safe place. All other personal belongings will remain in the patient's room.
Examples of valuables the Security Department safe can secure include wallets, checkbooks, credit cards, cash, jewelry, ID documents, cell phones, etc.
Examples of belongings the Security Department safe cannot secure include large purses, backpacks, luggage, clothing.
If you have extenuating circumstances or additional questions regarding patient valuables, please ask your nurse to contact a Security officer to meet with you.
