Dr. Peters has done extensive research in cardiovascular medicine, including published articles, studies and presentations. Before coming to Northern Arizona, Dr. Peters practiced as an invasive cardiologist in Dayton, Ohio.
Education and Certifications
Dr. Peters earned his medical degree in 2002 from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, where he also completed an internship in osteopathy medicine in 2003. Dr. Peters then completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio in 2006. His fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine was performed from July 2006 to June 2009 at the University of Arizona Sarver Heart Center in Tucson. During his fellowship, Dr. Peters was elected chief cardiology fellow in 2008. Before practicing at the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona, Dr. Peters practiced at Cardiology Specialists of Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Peters is board-certified in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular disease.
